I have a strange request. Now I don't want to sound selfish, or greedy, but; fav this piece. I ask you to do it, not for me, but for all those who have lost their lives defending us. I ask you to show your support, on today, memorial day in the United States, and only a matter of days before the 65th anniversary of the d day invasions. You'll notice I have allowed this one to be downloaded - so please, take advantage, download it and circulate it. Spread the word, make people remember. After June 6th I will remove this piece. Thank you for your consideration. I also encourage any input or comments on the topic.
"you are about to embark on the great crusade, the eyes of the world are upon you"
- In a letter from Dwight D. Eisenhower to the allied soldiers just hours before the invasion.
"and when he gets to heaven, to saint peter he will tell: 'Just another soldier reporting, sir I've served my time in hell.'"

Equality starts when you stop feeling so different from the others to claim for it.
The picture serves her point...But I always say ..Forget, but do remember!...
Cause, now in these days it can only produce hate and intolerance...

You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye Who cheer when soldier lads march by, Sneak home and pray you'll never know The hell where youth and laughter go.
I heartily approve of this artwork.Although I haven't been in so much as a fistfight since junior high,I served my country['85-'88], and my father served when it REALLY counted,['39-'46].
"A country without an army is like a house without walls.".......Me.
You should be proud. Your father served when not only his country needed him; but when the entire world was on their knees, he stepped up. You should be very proud, and you have served aswell. My grandfather fought in the RAF during the battle of Britain, and my great uncle stormed the beaches at Normandy (JUNO beach, I'm Canadian, of English descent). Thank you so much, and please feel free to download it, and circulate it in anyway. I really don't want any credit. I just want people to understand and remember that this was the biggest event in human history...thanks again
those are actually a little hard to answer as I love a lot of books and a lot of authors - anything from historical, fiction, murder mysteries, political, religious.... As of now, I am reading The Moon Bamboo; it is written by a Vietnamese monk. It's good so far. Some books I've really enjoyed : The Picture of Dorian Gray (Wilde), The Queen of Spades (Pushkin), Shadows on the Rock (Cather), Generals Die in Bed (Harrison), Never Cry Wolf (Mowat)... As for a book I hate, I can not think of any off the top of my head - - I tend to stop reading a book I hate, thus negating its existence in my mind. haha.
